Rockstar's justification is the scale of State of Leonida — 125 km², 700+ enterable buildings, a dual-protagonist story, and the most technically ambitious open world ever built. For context: GTA V launched at $59.99 in 2013. Adjusted for inflation alone that would be ~$78 in 2026 — so the real-terms increase is smaller than it appears.

Is GTA Online Included?
Yes — GTA VI Online comes included with all editions at no extra cost. Unlike the current GTA Online which requires a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to play multiplayer, Rockstar has confirmed dedicated servers for GTA VI Online. The multiplayer component is separate from story mode and will launch alongside the main game on November 19, 2026.
