After more than 12 years since GTA V, Rockstar Games officially confirmed GTA VI launches November 19, 2026. The game releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on day one. PC follows later — Rockstar has not confirmed a PC date yet.

GTA VI is set in the fictional State of Leonida — Rockstar's reimagining of Florida. The story follows two protagonists in a Bonnie-and-Clyde heist narrative.
The State of Leonida is the largest map Rockstar has ever built — roughly 125 km², more than twice the size of GTA V's map (50 km²). It includes Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers wetlands, Ambrosia farmlands, Port Gellhorn industrial zones, and the 4,200m Mount Kalaga.

GTA VI introduces the $79.99 standard price point — the new normal for AAA games in 2026. Four editions are available at launch.
All editions include GTA VI story mode. Premium adds a Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack. Ultimate adds all DLC pass content and bonus in-game currency. GTA Online is included free with every edition.
PS4 and Xbox One are not supported. GTA VI requires current-gen hardware for its open-world scale, real-time weather, and NPC density.
GTA VI Online launches alongside the story mode on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has confirmed dedicated servers for the first time in the series — addressing the long-standing peer-to-peer issues of GTA Online.
